Breathing techniques are the most common way that panic sufferers learn how to relax. With this technique they learn to avoid shallow chest breathing by drawing deep breaths in and out, using the diaphragm muscle, enriching their blood with oxygen. When shallow breaths are taken the oxygen level in the blood dips, and anxious feelings arise, because of the brain being starved of oxygen.

Another way to control panic attacks is to consciously teach the body to relax and then efficient breathing happens automatically.     hey there, thanks for the post. I was reading a post the other day about yawning and how it makes you feel relaxed as well.
    One other technique i know is to get a massage but it does not prevent when you get sudden panic attacks. What about Beta blocks..
